My name is Ana, and I created this site to make Brazilian Portuguese more accessible and fun, one word at a time.
I’m from Rio de Janeiro and have bachelor’s degrees in French and Education, plus a master’s degree in TESOL. I’ve spent over a decade teaching languages in language schools, universities, and corporate settings across the US and Europe, always with a focus on real communication and keeping it fun.

And the black cat you’ve seen throughout the site? That’s Pantera, my feline assistant and part-time keyboard walker.
She’s sweet, sassy, and extremely vocal, especially when I’m working past her dinner time. She’s the reason this site doesn’t take itself too seriously.
